Sub-national GDP across East/Southeast Asia converted to a common USD unit and merged into one tree — drill from 'East Asia' into an economy to see its provinces/regions. CONVERTED & APPROXIMATE: each sub-unit's local-currency GDP is divided by its USD exchange rate as of ~2026-06-17 (CNY 6.77, JPY 160.0, IDR 17,950, VND 26,322, KRW 1,533, MYR 4.087 per USD); rates fluctuate, so the USD comparison is rate-sensitive and the USD figures are derived (not officially published). Base years differ — China 2024, Japan FY2022, Indonesia 2025, Vietnam 2022, Korea 2024, Malaysia 2024 (all rows stamped 2025 only so they render together). Each country node = the sum of its shown sub-units, not the full national total. Singapore is a single node (city-state, no sub-national breakdown); the Philippines is a single node (no clean free regional breakdown); Taiwan is omitted — it publishes no official sub-national GDP and we don't estimate. The canonical original-currency figures live in the per-country datasets (see related). Currency conversion is a derived figure (rate-sensitive); gaps left blank; no GDP figures are estimated — only currency-converted.
